“I aim to present a sense of unfamiliarity or mystery in my work. My pots tend to have irregularities in form and surfaces. Marks and distortions left by my hand compliment textured and scorched surfaces left by the firing process. Whether calculated or spontaneous, it is in these details I see the greatest opportunity for expression.”
